One of a series of works on paper that capture the earthy ochre tones of Golden Gully, a historical gold mining reef at Hill End. Painted plein air from the depths of the reef amidst the sculptural turrets and towers of eroded earth that create this otherworldly landscape. In places such as this the golden ochres ochres drift quietly into pinks and reds.
