Michele Owen

Michele is a multi-disciplinary Australian contemporary artist.

Her creative practice flows from her connection with nature and a fascination with history. She explores captivating places and the stories of the present, past and ancient times that converge there. Observation, emotional response and sensory perception intertwine to inform her abstracted landscapes.

Michele is presently undertaking post graduate studies in Visual Art at the Victorian College of the Arts at University of Melbourne. She is qualified in design and colour and is also fortunate to have studied with many highly regarded Australian and international artists.

Michele works on location, most recently the goldfields of Victoria and New South Wales, as well as in her expansive studio in the hills of Wattle Glen at the edge of the Yarra Valley. Her intention is to develop creative works that invoke the spirit and experience of the regions she visits.
